Hello my name is Jerry Stoltz and here is a small snapshot of my career in the mortgage industry.
After graduating college from the University of New Mexico in 1993 I took on a position with Norwest Financial as a loan officer. My intentions at the time was more of treating it as an internship. Norwest offered me the opportunity to not only work for a great company but also pay for my pursuit of becoming a corporate attorney. Within a year I realized I did not want to pursue law and working with consumers and helping them pursue their goals as it related to their home was what I enjoyed. From that point forward I continued in the retail environment of the mortgage industry and climbed the corporate ladder. After eventually holding the position of Assistant Vice President with HomeGold Financial I felt I had handled all the responsibilites I could within the retail environment and I wanted to see the other side of the business. By doing so I felt it would make me better at my profession and in the end help the clients I worked with. My first stop was spending a year with North American Mortgage. I managed loan officers but also worked as an originator myself. This allowed me to learn as many aspects of the brokerage world as I could and in 1999 I opened my own office. For the next 10 years I owned and managed Firstline Mortgage in Arizona. It was in 2009 that I had the great fortune of joining forces with Crossline Capital. With many changes taking place within the industry and the vision and track record that Crossline Capital had it was the perfect opportunity to join forces with a Direct Lender. Not only were they one that could offer me the support I was accustomed to but more than anything the products that the client base I work with needs and deserves.
